One more excursion video of the dual Tang Band 8x12" 16Hz tapped horn. After discovering a loose screw on one of the drivers in the last video, I decided to re-test using Flight of the Phoenix at reference levels to see what changed now that the air leak at the front driver is gone. This is the result. Power provided by a bridged QSC RMX-1850HD (about 1100W), highpassed at 10Hz. Note that the SPL meter is set on its highest setting, recording peaks in excess of 126dB. This amounts to about 122dB peaks at my listening position. The distortion you hear is massive amounts of low frequency energy overwhelming the camera's microphone. This thing was literally vibrating the concrete floor around the horn mouth.
